Founded in the 1970s in Schlitach Germany, BBS gets it’s name from the two founders - Heinrich Baumgartner and Klaus Brand, and the town they were founded in, Schlitach - Making the name Baumgartner, Brand, Schlitach.

BBS invented the three piece wheel, with the BBS RS, originally name the BBS Mahle. Since then they have been iterating on their forged rims, seeking continual improvement year over year.
