You NEED these wheels for your Infiniti Q50 Sedan
Meet the G37 2.0. It’s about the same weight, has the same guts, same size, and yet the Q50 is a bit faster AND more luxurious. Don’t believe us? Ask ChatGPT. The G-Series is about as cheap as it’s going to get; on the other hand, the Q-Series is progressively getting more and more affordable. Don’t be surprised if these become one of the best bang-4-buck entry level driver’s cars.
If and when these become a staple of your local takeover, they’re going to need some aftermarket wheels - so that’s what we’re talking about today. This fitment guide will look at all types of fitment for the Infiniti Q50, years 2014-2024. This will include all trim levels, RWD and AWD, although AWD models have some special considerations that we’ll get to in a minute.

Basic fitment info
- Lug pattern: 5x114.3
- Lug thread: m12x1.25
- Center bore: 66.1 mm
- Lug torque: 80 ft/lbs
All the vital numbers above are the same as the G37, meaning you have plenty of options to choose from.
What to know if you drive an AWD Q50
Most of the fitment info you’ll find, whether be from here or your favorite FB group, will be on RWD cars. This is fine, but before you copy someone else’s fitment 1-to-1, you’ll need to ensure the rolling diameter is within 2% front to rear. This is all in the tire size. Staggered setups are fine as long as the total tire height is within 2% difference front to back. Keep this in mind as not all setups shown here look at will work with AWD.
The second issue is with lowering AWD cars. This problem is kinda unique to this platform. Basically, the front axles will give you grief if you lower your car more than, like, an inch. This is down to the Q50 axles not being long enough to stay properly seated when the car is lowered. Complications range from vibrations and noise, up to axles popping out or breaking.
The solution is switching your stock Q50 axles for longer ones from an Infiniti/Nissan with a wider wheelbase. The most popular option is an OEM unit sourced from the M56x/Q70. There could be other models that work too, given they share the same axle splines. You could also look into ‘axle spacers to give a bit more length, if needed. There isn’t a one size fits all solution as it depends on your ride height.
Akebono brake clearance
If your Q has an Akebono brake package i.e. Sport models, or you’re planning on retrofitting some, you’ll need to be mindful of wheel-to-caliper clearance. Nothing is worse than trying to mount some new wheels just to have them hit the caliper.
These 14” Akebonos are the exact same as on the 370z and G37. Pro tip: if you’re researching whether a particular wheel will clear the brakes, you should start on Z or G forums, you’re likely to find the info you need there as people have tried basically every combination of wheels on those cars.
Before that, there’s even better resources. Here’s a list of popular wheels that either pass or fail.
If you have access to the wheels in question, you could cut out this template from ConceptZ to check clearance.

Most of these cars are lowered in one way or another, but if you want to keep your car a comfortable daily, this one's for you. This is an RWD Q50 rocking some XXR 559 wheels. Note that this would also work for all wheel drive cars.
While the wheels are only 8.5” wide, they can still fit 255/40 tires. This is about as wide as you can go without stepping up to a 9.0 or 9.5”, and, do you really need to go wider? Probably not, unless you have a built VR30. This isn’t show-stopping fitment, but that’s not the point - it certainly looks and performs a lot better than stock.
From here on out, all of the cars will be on springs, coils, or air suspension.

Staggered setups. They should come to mind when you think of a RWD Nissan or Infiniti, and the Q is no different. This ‘21 Q50 is on a staggered set of Kansei KNP - 19x9.5 in the front and 19x10.5 rear. 1” wider rears are pretty standard on this platform.
Like the wheels, the tires are also different front to rear. As we can see from the side profile, these give the car a bit of rake. As you might expect, this is a no-go for AWD cars. To make this suitable for AWD, or just more symmetrical, a 265/35 rear could be used instead.
The car is lowered about 1” on BC Racing coils and there’s no fender modification. However, the tires occasionally rub on large bumps.

Q’s are decently-sized sedans, making 20-inch wheels look right at home. Once again, these are staggered and the specs are more or less the same as the last, just with 20’s instead of 19’s. In our opinion, they look a lot better on a car that’s lowered. This 2019 Q is on RS-R Superdown lowering springs.
Not much more to say about the fitment. This car has zero rubbing issues.

Slightly pulled fenders, no rubbing |
This Q50S is rocking great specs if you’re seeking perfectly flush fitment. The specs are 19x9.5 +25 with 255/35 tires. This is a Sport model, so we can confirm that Work T7R wheels will clear the Akebono brakes without the need for spacers.
With tires this wide it’s a snug fit, the fenders needed to be slightly pulled to prevent rubbing. The convenient thing is these cars come with pre-rolled fenders. The only way to get extra space is to pull the fenders, as this car needed. As it stands there’s zero rubbing.
Air suspension
How do you like your JDM sedans? Slammed with aggressive fitment? It would appear so as most Q’s in our gallery are slammed on air.
Here are some of our top picks and their respective specs.

20’s look pretty good with a modest drop, as we saw, so no doubt they will look awesome when absolutely stuffed on air suspension. These specs are similar to what we’ve already shown. When dropped this low they are pretty tucked due to the natural camber.
There are a lot of kits on the market for this platform, this car is on a kit from Air Lift Performance. To go with the bags, it also has adjustable control arms.

If you want aggressive fitment to go with your bags, this one might fit the bill. The specs on the Avant Garde F421 are 19x11 +10 with 245/35 tires - by far the most aggressive fitment so far.
This is a square setup, meaning yes, it would work on your AWD Q. Again, you’ll need longer front axles AND probably spacers to go with them. It depends where your car will be riding when aired up. But also, you need long enough components to not hyperextend the CV joints when aired out.

This is what 18’s look like on a bagged Q. Federal 595 are a popular option in the stance scene because they stretch super well. This car has 235/40 on a 10.5 and 245/35 on a 11” wheel - these aren’t rookie numbers.
The fitment is similar to the last. You’ll need aftermarket control arms to dial in the camber and toe (you should probably budget for these if you’re doing an air build), as we can see, this car has more camber than you’d get from just lowering.

Widebody front fenders. Pulled rear fenders. Custom air suspension setup See more details here |
This Q50 Red Sport takes the cake for being the most aggressive. 19x12 +6 front and 19x12 +14 rear, with 245/35 tires all around. The secret is the widebody front fenders, making it possible to fit those 12” Work Rezax. Impressively, the owner also managed to get 12J wheels on the stock rear metal, a testament to how wide you can go with pulled fenders and enough camber.
There are a lot of bagged Q50’s in our gallery, all these examples are sourced straight from there. We gave links to every car we featured. Be sure to check them out for even more details and photos. Or, if you wanna see even more, head over there to browse through thousands of cars.

Wrap up
Whatever type of fitment you want for your Q50, we showed some examples in this guide. Wheels are one of those things that can throw off an entire build if done wrong. Hopefully this gets you started in the right direction to make your car look and perform the way you want.
Whatever direction you go, we got the parts to make it happen. Of course, this means wheels and tires, but also suspension and much, much more.
